Litigation Associate

About the Role

Join a collaborative law firm team handling general defense litigation, with a focus on premises liability and related matters. You will manage cases from inception through resolution and work closely with senior attorneys on legal strategy, trial preparation, and client communication. The role offers mentorship and the opportunity to build a long-term litigation practice.

What You'll Do

• Manage a full caseload of general defense litigation from initial filing through resolution.

• Conduct and defend depositions as part of case preparation.

• Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.

• Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.

• Draft pleadings, discovery materials, motions, and case strategy documents.

What We're Looking For

• Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.

• A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.

• Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions.

• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery, as well as conducting and defending depositions.

• Background in premises liability, general negligence, or related defense matters.

• Interest in developing a long-term practice and growing with a collaborative team.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $125,000 to $165,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
