Litigation Associate

About the Role

Join a New York defense litigation team handling matters from inception through resolution. You will manage a full caseload and work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, trial preparation, and client communication.

What You'll Do

• Manage general defense litigation matters, primarily premises liability, from inception through resolution.

• Conduct and defend depositions.

• Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.

• Collaborate with senior partners on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.

What We're Looking For

• Two to seven years of law firm defense litigation experience, including responsibility for a full caseload.

• Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York court procedures.

• Deposition experience, both conducting and defending depositions.

• Background in premises liability or general negligence litigation.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.

• Strong legal drafting skills across motions, pleadings, and discovery.

• Interest in a long-term role with a collaborative, mentorship-oriented team.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $125,000 to $165,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in New York City, with regular in-office work during onboarding and a flexible hybrid arrangement afterward.
