Is this job info correct?

Litigation Attorney | Catastrophic Truck Crash & Wrongful Death The Law Firm for Truck Safety Primary Practice: Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana (Bar admission required in at least one of these primary states) Office Location: Casper, WY Type: Full-Time, Exempt | Hybrid (Preferred) or Remote Salary: $100K – $130K base salary The Role We are looking for a litigation attorney who is eager to build a career doing serious trial work, ready to learn by doing, and motivated to put in the work it takes to become an excellent trial lawyer. The Firm The Law Firm for Truck Safety only represents families whose lives have been changed by catastrophic commercial truck crashes. We are a national plaintiffs’ firm with ten offices and growing. We have more NBTA Board-Certified Truck Accident Law attorneys than any other firm in the United States. Our lawyers help write the standards and try the cases that shape this area of law, recently winning a groundbreaking case in the U.S. Supreme Court. Many of us hold commercial driver’s licenses. The work is demanding and it matters. Every case is a family, rebuilding after the worst day of their lives, and often our nation’s roads become safer due to our efforts. What You Would Earn The position pays between $100,000 and $130,000 base salary with bonus opportunities based on performance and case outcome. This is a role for someone who wants meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to grow into increasingly advanced trial work over time. The Work The work is everything involved in high-stakes litigation, from case-building to the courtroom. You will work closely with an experienced trial lawyer on complex trucking, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases. You will help develop case strategy, draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery, review medical records and crash materials, prepare witnesses, work with experts, and communicate with the families we represent. You will learn to apply the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, analyze trucking safety issues, and collaborate with crash reconstructionists, trucking-safety experts, life-care planners, treating physicians, and other specialists. You will take and defend depositions as appropriate, participate in negotiations, and play a meaningful role in preparing cases for trial. High-stakes litigation does not keep banker’s hours; the role is full-time and calls for flexibility around court deadlines, client needs, travel, and trial. Being successful here also requires compassion, humility, and real care for the families we represent. We keep a trial-first mindset and a deliberately low volume, high-value caseload, so we can give our clients the full attention and presence they deserve. As you grow with the firm, you will have opportunities to take on greater responsibility and play a more active role in the advocacy and industry leadership that our firm is known for, but the heart of the job is becoming an outstanding trial lawyer. The Team This is an opportunity to join our Rocky Mountain team and work alongside our Managing Partner, Grant Lawson, on some of the most serious trucking cases in the region. The role will be hybrid from our Casper, Wyoming office. You should expect regular in-person collaboration, mentorship, case preparation, and trial work, along with flexibility to work remotely when appropriate. Travel will be required for client meetings, depositions, hearings, trial preparation, and trial. This is a key litigation role. You will contribute meaningfully to strategy, client communication, expert development, briefing, depositions, and trial preparation while continuing to grow under the guidance of experienced trial counsel. At trial, you should expect to serve as second chair and take on increasing responsibility as you grow with the firm. About You We are looking for a lawyer who is serious about becoming an excellent trial lawyer and wants to do that work in a demanding, highly specialized practice. At minimum, that means: A J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license (or ability to obtain admission promptly) in one of the following primary states of practice: Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Montana Ideally, two to three years of civil litigation experience, with plaintiff-side personal injury and/or wrongful death experience preferred Experience with written discovery, deposition discovery, motion practice, legal research, briefing, hearings, and case development Strong legal writing, analytical, organizational, and oral advocacy skills A careful, detail-oriented approach to complex case work Strong client communication skills and the ability to provide clear, compassionate guidance to families experiencing profound loss A genuine interest in trial work, courtroom advocacy, and trucking safety litigation Willingness to travel as cases require Direct trucking litigation experience, on either the plaintiff or defense side, is also a plus. Growing Into The Role This role is designed for a lawyer who is committed to excellence. Over time, you will be expected to develop deeper knowledge and responsibility in case strategy, depositions, expert work, negotiation, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy. Within five years of joining, you will be expected to earn NBTA Board Certification in Truck Accident Law and obtain a commercial driver’s license. The certification marks you as among the most qualified truck crash lawyers in the country. The CDL means you intimately understand large trucks and truck driver training. How We Support You In addition to your earnings, we offer comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits, along with paid time off, holidays, and sick leave. You will also benefit from meaningful professional development, training, mentorship, and growth opportunities in a collaborative, mission-driven culture built around trial work and industry leadership. If you are eager to do serious litigation work, learn from experienced trial lawyers, and represent families in cases that can both change lives and improve roadway safety, we want to hear from you. ………………………… The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work. This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. The Law Firm for Truck Safety reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet business and organizational needs as necessary. ……………………….. The Law Firm for Truck Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by applicable law. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities; applicants who need an accommodation in the hiring process are encouraged to let us know so we can discuss and implement one. The essential functions of this role include extended periods of focused desk and computer work, close review of detailed documents, appearances in depositions and court, travel as cases require, and occasionally handling files or trial materials weighing up to roughly 25 pounds. We are glad to discuss reasonable accommodations. We use technology-assisted tools, including automated systems, to help review and evaluate applications. These tools support, but do not replace, human decision-making, and all hiring decisions are made in accordance with applicable anti-discrimination laws.
