We are seeking a college student for our 2026-27 Livestock Internship . Our intern offers students challenging opportunities to work within the crop and livestock insurance industry and includes structured learning, networking events, and interaction with members of our executive team.


AgriSompo has regional offices around the country. Through operating subsidiaries, Sompo International writes agriculture, casualty and other specialty, professional lines, property, marine/energy and aviation lines of insurance and catastrophe, property, casualty, professional lines, and specialty lines of reinsurance.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing livestock applications, endorsements, and other policy-related documents under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Review basic policy information for accuracy and completeness, escalating questions or discrepancies to the livestock specialist or supervisor.
  • Support the team by helping identify and document system errors in and PASS, while learning how corrections are researched and resolved.
  • Prepare and organize routine policy correspondence, forms, and documentation for agents, producers, and internal team members.
  • Attend livestock program meetings and training sessions to learn program updates, procedures, compliance expectations, and key industry terminology.
  • Provide general administrative and customer support, including responding to basic internal questions, tracking requests, maintaining files, and assisting with other livestock program tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Include

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Excellent verbal and written
    communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Desired qualities include energetic, resourceful, and hardworking; a commitment to complete the program; and a goal-oriented individual who is enthusiastic about and committed to the insurance industry.
  • Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
