At SAP, you'll belong to a diverse, international community that learns fast, shares openly, and celebrates impact. You'll have access to global peers, modern tools, and development pathways-so your ideas travel and your career grows.
What you'll bring
You have developing experience in data protection compliance, privacy impact assessments, incident support, and policy management. A working knowledge of data privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and audit processes, combined with the ability to manage defined privacy tasks with growing independence, is what defines readiness at this level. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the creative thinking and learning agility to adapt as the role evolves.
- Developing knowledge of data protection laws and best practices, with a genuine interest in Indian and European privacy regulations.
- Experience supporting data protection compliance activities — including Data Privacy Impact Assessments, policy documentation, incident tracking, and regulatory monitoring.
- Strong project management skills — you handle multiple workstreams with care and growing independence in a complex, international environment.
- A practical, open approach to AI — you use AI tools to automate routine tasks, assess output quality, and continuously adapt how you work as technology evolves.
- A degree in law, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English is required for this role.
What you'll build
You'll support SAP's Data Protection and Privacy Coordinator for India, contributing to local compliance activities and helping the local CFO meet data protection obligations under applicable law.
- Support Data Privacy Impact Assessments, policy documentation, and gap analysis on changes to local privacy regulations.
- Monitor compliance with local privacy laws and assist with audit cycles and the Data Privacy and Protection (DPP) Control Framework.
- Assist with responses to regulatory authority inquiries, data privacy breaches, and data subject escalations.
- Act as a point of contact for local supervisory authorities and represent SAP's Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) within Indian entities.
- Harmonise documentation, processes, and the overall data protection approach for India in coordination with the DPP team.
- Deliver training and education to raise management and staff awareness of data protection obligations across the region.
Where you belong
You'll be part of a global data protection community, supporting privacy compliance across SAP's Indian entities. The assessments you conduct, the policies you maintain, and the training you deliver directly reduce SAP's data protection risk. If you have a solid privacy foundation and want to develop toward independent advisory and incident management work, this is where that path continues. This role is based at SAP India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru
