Company Description vrs experteam is the Greek loss adjusting and claims management company of the global vrs Adjusters organisation, which brings more than 50 years of international expertise and a presence in over 140 countries. The company combines global experience with deep knowledge of the Greek insurance market, delivering specialized loss adjusting, technical assessment, and claims handling services. Guided by a vision for a safer and more transparent world, vrs experteam manages every loss with objectivity, professionalism, and respect for insured parties, principals, and society. Its work is rooted in three core values: knowledge, collaboration, and documentation. Based in Athens, the multidisciplinary team supports complex industrial, commercial, cross-border, and cyber-related claims as an independent and trusted partner to the insurance market.

Role Description The Loss Adjuster will be responsible for investigating and assessing insurance claims across property, liability, industrial, commercial, and specialist lines, ensuring accurate and fair evaluation of losses. Day-to-day tasks include site visits, interviews with stakeholders, collection and analysis of technical and financial documentation, and preparation of clear, well-structured loss reports and recommendations. The role involves close collaboration with insured parties, insurers, brokers, engineers, legal advisors, and other specialists to manage files efficiently and support timely claim resolution. The Loss Adjuster will also contribute to tailor-made claims management projects, support cyber risk and complex technical assignments, and maintain high standards of integrity and transparency. This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Athens, with a combination of office presence and work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, including the ability to interpret technical, financial, and legal documentation and reach evidence-based conclusions.
  • Experience or education in insurance, loss adjusting, risk management, engineering, finance, or law, ideally with exposure to property, liability, or industrial/commercial claims.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and very good command of English, with the ability to prepare clear, structured reports and communicate complex issues to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail under time pressure.
  • High level of professional ethics, objectivity, and commitment to operating as an independent, trusted partner within the insurance market.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with international partners when required.
  • Comfort with digital tools and claims management systems; familiarity with cyber risks or technologically complex projects is an asset.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., loss adjusting qualifications such as FUEDI–ELAE) or willingness to pursue professional development in loss adjusting and claims handling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance, Law)
