As a global market leader, we’ll give you what you need to make it happen. It won’t always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you’ll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you’ll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This Position reports to:

Business Transformation Manager

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end integration of acquisitions and other non-organic growth initiatives into ABB Robotics. You will translate transaction objectives into sustainable business value, ensuring acquired businesses are integrated effectively while protecting the capabilities, talent, customer relationships, and entrepreneurial strengths that underpin their success.

Working closely with Business Line leaders and functional stakeholders, you will establish a repeatable integration approach that balances enterprise standardization with the preservation of the unique value drivers behind each acquisition.

The location of the position is within Europe.

Working model is hybrid

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead post-merger integrations end-to-end: Translate transaction objectives, business cases, and synergy commitments into clear integration priorities, governance structures, and execution plans.
  • Drive cross-functional integration execution: Coordinate integration activities across Business Lines and Functions, including Finance, People&Culture, Legal, IS, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Define the right integration approach: Partner with business leaders to determine where capabilities, processes, platforms, and ways of working should be standardized, retained, or deliberately differentiated.
  • Protect business continuity and value drivers: Ensure critical capabilities, customer relationships, key talent, and operational performance are maintained throughout the integration process.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and decision-making: Navigate complex dependencies, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and drive timely decisions that maintain momentum and support successful value realization.
  • Deliver acquisition value: Monitor progress against the transaction business case, synergy targets, and integration milestones to ensure acquisitions achieve their intended strategic and financial benefits.
  • Build ABB Robotics' integration capability: Establish and continuously improve a scalable integration methodology, capturing lessons learned and creating repeatable best practices across future transactions.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced business qualification is an advantage.
  • 15+ years' experience in post-merger integration, M&A, strategy, enterprise transformation, or related leadership roles within complex organizations.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional integrations and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep business and financial acumen, including experience translating transaction business cases into operational plans and realized synergies.
  • Solid understanding of organizational design, operating models, business processes, and enterprise transformation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives, business leaders, and acquired-company leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and drive results across international, multicultural environments.
