We deliver secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 languages for USCIS and other federal agencies. We are seeking Macedonian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Macedonian is a rare Balkan language, often needed in immigration and asylum proceedings. Responsibilities Provide real-time Macedonian ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration, legal, and administrative settings. Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Macedonian and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Strong communication and telephone interpretation skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $25–30/hour (rare-language premium available for urgent needs).
