Machine Learning Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Medior/Senior Machine Learning Engineer who will work with ML Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Owners to turn ML and GenAI solutions into reliable, scalable and production-ready products.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and maintain production-grade ML solutions.
• Design and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines, from data preparation and training to deployment, monitoring and retraining.
• Productionize ML models developed by Data Scientists and integrate them into operational systems.
• Build and improve scalable ML infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineers.
• Develop and deploy LLM and RAG solutions for production use.
• Apply strong software engineering practices, including clean code, testing, Git, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, scalability and maintainability of ML solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Product Owners to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in ML Engineering, Software Development, MLOps or a related field.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills.
• Proven experience building, deploying and maintaining ML models in production.
• Experience with ML pipelines and MLOps.
• Experience with cloud-based ML solutions, preferably GCP.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG, preferably in production environments.
• Experience with Docker, SQL, REST APIs and Terraform.
• Experience with data pipelines and large-scale data processing.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Data Scientists and Data Engineers.
• A proactive, analytical mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into practical engineering solutions.
