About the company

Our client is a London-based travel technology company whose digital products are used by more than 500 travel companies across 50+ countries.

Its platform helps tour operators and travel brands create a digital customer experience, combining interactive itineraries, offline maps, live flight updates, messaging and personalised travel content.

The company is now developing a new commercial product to help the industry.

The opportunity

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll help shape and build this new product from an early stage. You’ll work closely with the business and product teams, contributing to technical decisions and developing practical, data-driven solutions.

The work will involve exploring data from multiple sources and finding ways to turn it into useful insights for the accommodation industry. You’ll have room to experiment, evaluate different approaches and help influence the direction of the product.

You don’t need previous Node.js experience, but you should be open to learning it.

What you’ll bring
  • Commercial experience applying machine learning to products or business problems.
  • Experience with NLP and large language models.
  • Practical, applied data science skills; a traditional Data Scientist background isn’t essential.
  • Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with web scraping and different data formats.
  • The ability to assess data quality and source reliability.
  • A product-focused mindset and a willingness to test and refine ideas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an open, adaptable approach.
  • Willingness to learn Node.js.
What’s on offer
  • 100% remote work.
  • A long-term opportunity with a small, product-focused company.
  • The opportunity to influence a new commercial product from an early stage.
  • A contract directly with the UK-based company.
  • Salary of up to £90,000 per year.
  • 31 days of paid holiday, including UK bank holidays.
