Hale Hamilton (Valves) Limited , part of CIRCOR’s Industrial and Maritime Division , is a leading manufacturer of pressure and flow control solutions for application on various Submarine and Surface Ship platforms and for applications in Industrial segments such as Renewable Energy, Industrial Gas and Power. For our location in Uxbridge , in the Greater London area, we are looking for a Machinist . Your responsibilities Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centres, including pallet-changing and multi-axis machines, to produce high-quality precision components Load CNC programmes, set tool offsets and datums, and verify machine readiness prior to production Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, GD&T requirements, and process documentation Select, install and maintain cutting tools, fixtures and workholding devices to ensure efficient machining operations Manufacture components to tight tolerances using a variety of materials Perform in-process and final inspections using a range of precision measuring equipment. Make programme edits, tooling adjustments and offset corrections as required Monitor machine performance, identify issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain quality standards Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with 5S principles Adhere to all health, safety, quality and company procedures Your qualifications Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification Significant experience operating and setting CNC machining centres (experience with multi-axis and Matsuura is a strong plus), ideally within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills Proficiency in precision measurement and inspection techniques Experience making programme edits and machining adjustments; CNC programming knowledge would be advantageous Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong organisational and time-management skills with high attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement Our benefits 4 day working week with Fridays off (37,5 hours per week) Life Cover: 2x Annual Salary Pension: Employer’s & Employee’s contribution Competitive bonus scheme Employer-only option salary exchange Generous holiday equivalent to 5 weeks holiday Medical insurance with an option to include as a payroll benefit A culture calendar to celebrate events Birthday lunch every month hosted by our Managing Director Employee benefits portal with discounts on many products Active social club – with regular events
