Mainframe DB2 System Programmer

Role: Mainframe Db2 Systems Programmer

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading IBM Db2 for z/OS environments to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Monitoring and tuning Db2 subsystem performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing performance improvements.
• Managing Db2 security, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database utilities to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Applying maintenance, patches, and version upgrades while ensuring system stability and minimal downtime.
• Collaborating with application, database, and infrastructure teams to support deployments, migrations, and production environments.

Practical Information About the Assignment

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Until February 2027, with a strong possibility of a 1-2 month extension.
• Workload: Full-time (FTE)
• Work Setup: Hybrid or remote
• Client only consider consultants who are based within the EU for this positions.
