About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with a solid understanding of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, to support and enhance core enterprise applications for our client. This role is fully remote and ideal for professionals who excel in high-impact, production-critical environments and are interested in modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM Mainframe platforms.
• Work on both batch and online processing systems using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Perform code reviews, impact analysis, and performance tuning.
• Participate in requirement gathering, design, and technical documentation.
• Support mainframe modernization and integration with distributed systems (APIs, microservices, cloud).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide production support as needed.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF.
• Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and analytical skills.
• Experience in large-scale systems and batch processing environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to API integration or cloud migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
