Mainframe Developer

Location: Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week onsite

Exclusive Contract: 12 months

Mission Description

Within the Agile Mainframe team, the developer will be responsible for technical analysis, development, component testing, bug fixing, and support of a Mainframe/CICS application used for managing insurance policies, claims, and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Agile team to propose the most appropriate solutions based on business and technical needs.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into high-quality developments while adhering to best practices, defined standards, budget, and scope.
• Develop using COBOL V5 on IBM z/OS Mainframe.
• Understand the technical architecture and reuse existing components where appropriate.
• Document developed solutions.
• Provide occasional second-line and third-line support.
• Actively contribute to the Agile way of working within the Baloise team.
• Perform technical analyses, implementations, and quality assurance testing.

• Minimum 5 years of COBOL programming experience

• RDz (Rational Developer for z Systems)
• JCL

Industry Knowledge

• Insurance industry experience is considered essential for the successful execution of the assignment.
