We are currently searching for a Mainframe Engineer - Professional:

The Challenge (Responsibilities)

• Act as the Mainframe Application Lead, specializing in designing, documenting, programming, and supporting tools.
• Support the Mainframe development community’s efforts, primarily focused on the Claims Application.
• Establish CICS table entries for new programs, transactions, and files.
• Consider project design requirements for interfacing with distributed applications and coordinate project designs and implementation plans.
• Execute project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming, and implementation.
• Work independently with minimal direct supervision.

Your Profile (Requirements)

• Highly proficient in COBOL, DYL280, DB2, CICS, and JCL in a z/OS environment.
• Knowledge of using the following IBM products: z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, ISPF, TSO/E, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, PDS/PDSE dataset format.
• Experience in project life cycle phases (analysis, design, programming, implementation).
• Ability to coordinate project designs for interfacing with distributed applications.
• High-Performance Mindset: Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.
• Technologist DNA: A deep understanding of the difference between "coding" and "engineering."

Desired

• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants.

Languages

• Advanced Oral English: For seamless collaboration with global teams.
