As a Management Accountant, reporting into the Group Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes, providing accurate reporting, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making. This role supports both KERB Group, the parent company behind Events and Venues businesses, and KERB+, our not-for-profit social enterprise that helps aspiring food entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses through training, mentoring and funding & trader markets. You will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for KERB+ while also supporting the wider KERB Group finance team. This is a broad, hands-on and rewarding opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their commercial finance experience within a fast-paced and purpose-driven organisation. You'll be naturally curious, always looking beyond the numbers to understand the drivers of performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills are essential, as you'll work closely with operational, events and leadership teams, as well as the central finance function, to provide insight, challenge thinking and support informed decision-making. What you'll be doing Full ownership of KERB+ finance including: Managing AP & AR functions - ensuring timely supplier payments and accurate customer invoicing. Monitoring and analysing cash flow to support effective working capital management. Month-end reporting - ensuring costs are accurately captured and recorded in the correct periods & preparation of the monthly profit and loss accounts Submitting accurate VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines and regulations Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, including setting challenging and achievable targets, conducting variance analysis, and communicating key findings to the Head of Finance and wider finance team Providing financial analysis and support for projects and business cases. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AP/AR function and month-end accounting for KERB Group Liaising with payroll and other non-finance stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information and effective processes. Collaborate with Operations team to develop action plans that improve margins and drive profitability, optimise labour and overhead costs and improve cost management processes Proactively support debt collection, working closely with KERB’s central finance team, operational teams and clients to ensure invoiced debt is collected promptly. Provide training and support to operational teams on financial reporting, helping to improve financial understanding, performance and reporting accuracy. Achievement of forecasts and budgets and relevant KPI’s Contribute to system-driven business intelligence development Prepare and support the delivery of management information and financial reporting Provide finance support for other KERB Entities where required What you'll bring to KERB Essential Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role ideally within the hospitality industry.
