Management Accountant (Remote)

The Management Accountant oversees the comprehensive financial operations across two premium boutique resorts. This hands-on role is responsible for execution of all daily accounting functions through to the production of accurate Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheet reporting. Beyond core financial accounting, the position directly manages procurement frameworks, deep operational analysis, stringent cost control measures, and rigorous inventory management across all resort departments (including Food & Beverage, Rooms, and Guest Experiences).

• Prepare, review, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements and Balance Sheet reporting for both resorts.

• Execute all daily accounting operations, including cash flow tracking, GL reconciliations, journal creation and posting, bank reconciliations, internal audit tasks,.

• Formulate annual operational budgets and monthly rolling forecasts in alignment with department heads.

• Complete statutory requirements including tax compliance, end-of-month procedures, end-of-month reconciliations, and audit preparation.

• Manage the Asset register

• Intercompany accounts and transactions in multi - currency environment

• Oversee the end-to-end procurement processes across both boutique properties to capture cross-resort synergies.

• Vet, negotiate, and maintain relationships with critical vendors to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and service level agreements.

• Establish compliance controls for purchasing authorizations, ensuring adherence to allocated departmental budgets.

• Implement and maintain robust inventory management frameworks for food, beverage, operating supplies, and retail assets.

• Coordinate and audit physical monthly stocktakes, immediately investigating variances against theoretical usage.

• Drive aggressive cost control measures, identifying waste, yield leakages, and operational inefficiencies across Food & Beverage and Rooms divisions.

• Develop and continuously update recipe costing models, menu engineering matrices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Partner directly with Resort Managers to provide commercial insights regarding RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy trends.

• Run ad-hoc operational analysis to evaluate profitability of promotional packages, menus, and special events.

• Monitor daily labor productivity reports against occupancy levels to guide labor optimization.

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management. Fully qualified

CPA/CA/CIMA preferred.

• Experience: 3-5+ years of accounting experience within a hotel or resort environment. Dual-property experience is highly advantageous.

• Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS like RMS, opera), Point of Sale (POS) networks, and advanced accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, or specialized hospitality ERPs).
