We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Management Reporting – Finance Transformation SME/Lead to work in our Finance Division.

In this role, you’ll bring together data, capital metrics, regulatory context, technology, and business needs to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights. You don’t need to be a regulatory reporting expert or own regulatory reporting results. What matters is your ability to understand capital and Basel metrics, connect the key drivers, and translate them into meaningful management reporting.

You’ll collaborate closely with Technology teams, colleagues in Budapest, and U.S. stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, simplify processes, and drive Finance transformation. If you enjoy solving complex problems and using data, automation, and digital tools to make reporting smarter and more effective, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you’ll do in the role

  • Deliver accurate, high-quality internal management reporting and analysis across capital, Basel capital metrics, leverage, RWA, balance sheet, and related financial measures
  • Interpret regulatory rules and reporting drivers to understand their impact on internal management reporting, without directly owning regulatory reporting outputs
  • Translate complex data and business requirements into clear insights that support decision-making across Finance and senior stakeholders
  • Partner daily with Technology teams to align business needs with technical capabilities and help shape practical reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with Budapest and U.S. colleagues to ensure consistent understanding of reporting requirements, priorities, and deliverables
  • Drive process enhancement and workflow improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve reporting activities
  • Support Finance transformation initiatives through digital tooling, advanced analytics, AI adoption, and improved data visualization
  • Use tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, AI-enabled solutions, and other analytics platforms to enhance reporting quality and efficiency
  • Apply strong logical thinking to manage complexity, connect data points, identify trends, and explain key messages clearly
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, strong controls, and high-quality delivery

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Management Reporting, Finance Transformation, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Data Analytics, or a related area within financial services
  • Good understanding of capital metrics, Basel capital metrics, leverage, RWA, balance sheet, or similar financial measures
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to work through complex topics quickly and accurately
  • Experience working with management reporting, financial analysis, data analysis, process improvement, or reporting transformation
  • Familiarity with digital and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, AI-enabled tools, or similar platforms
  • Coding or scripting experience is an advantage, but this is not a full-time coding role
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both Finance and Technology stakeholders
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and align different teams around practical solutions
  • Innovation mindset and interest in process enhancement, automation, digital tooling, and advanced analytics
  • Ability to work at pace, manage ambiguity, and handle complexity in a dynamic global environment

Why join us:

  • Join a high-impact Finance team in Budapest supporting internal management reporting and business decision-making across the Firm
  • Work at the intersection of Finance, Technology, data, and transformation
  • Gain exposure to capital metrics, Basel-related topics, digital tooling, AI adoption, and advanced reporting solutions
  • Collaborate regularly with Budapest and U.S. colleagues, as well as Technology partners
  • Help shape how reporting processes are improved, automated, and scaled for the future
  • Build your career in an international environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth
