About the role

To provide quality and efficient support services to Sydney Water senior management and contribute to a multi-skilled, engaged and flexible Management Support team that fulfils support requests and tasks effectively and achieves the best client experience and business outcomes.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, client-focused management support to multiple senior managers, effectively prioritising competing requirements, managing diaries and inboxes, tracking actions and maintaining agreed service standards.
  • Coordinate meetings, events and executive activities, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions, as well as functions, roadshows, team briefings, travel, conferences and other logistical arrangements.
  • Deliver effective business administration and financial support, including purchasing and requisitions, p-card and expense reconciliation, document preparation and formatting, staff communications, awards administration and general administrative activities.
  • Coordinate sensitive, confidential and time-critical activities, including Board and Executive papers, Ministerial correspondence, GIPA requests and subpoenas, exercising sound judgement, integrity and diplomacy when managing information and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and continuously improving management support service by managing service requests, providing team and leave coverage, promoting administrative self-service, identifying process and knowledge improvements, and working collaboratively to deliver organisational priorities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience providing high-quality administrative and management support to senior leaders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, supported by intermediate-level MS Office certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and client service skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and respond professionally to stakeholder needs.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with demonstrated initiative, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing demands while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
