What the role is
As the Assistant Manager/Manager (Digital Learning Content) for the Institute of Digital Government (IDG), you will design and build digital resources that equip officers across the Public Service with practical digital, data and AI capabilities as well as considerations for the roles and responsibilities of public officers when implementing digital capabilities.

You will use AI-powered content creation tools and modern creative workflows to turn complex digital topics into clear, practical learning experiences and help shape how IDG produces useful content that can be shared with the rest of government.

What you will be working on

  • Build learning products end-to-end using AI tools, including research, scripting, production, review and publishing.
  • Design and produce learner-centred resources (modules, guides, job aids and videos) that translate AI and digital topics into practical workplace application.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to shape, validate and adapt content across formats for public officers.
  • Test new tools and workflows to improve the speed, quality and interactivity of learning content.

What we are looking for

  • Relevant experience in instructional design, digital content or multimedia production, supported by a strong portfolio of finished work.
  • Strong writing, editing and learning-design skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and select the right format for the learnerโ€™s needs.
  • Comfortable building engaging modules, instructional videos and guides with AI-assisted workflows, using tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Elevenlabs, HeyGen, Canva, CapCut or equivalent.
  • A curious builder who prototypes quickly, works iteratively and acts on feedback.
