Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union, which include the following counties: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo. For hybrid and remote roles, candidates are still required to reside within a commutable distance of our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, California.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Exempt/Hybrid.

Summary: Travis Credit Union’s (TCU) Branch Services & Cash Operations Management is responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance, and continuous improvement of ATM services, branch technology platforms, self-service channels, and cash management operations. This role ensures reliable, secure, and compliant delivery of member-facing technology solutions that support branch efficiency, member experience, and organizational growth.

The position collaborates with operations, technology, finance, security, and vendor partners to develop scalable solutions, manage risk, optimize resources, and drive innovation aligned with the credit union's strategic objectives. Leaders within this job family are accountable for operational excellence, financial stewardship, technology adoption, regulatory compliance, business continuity readiness, and the achievement of enterprise and departmental goals.

Profile:

  • Leads, trains, evaluates, coaches, professionally develops and motivates staff to attain department goals. Sets and monitors performance goals. Promotes a work environment that encourages involvement, initiative and teamwork. Builds career development paths for assigned staff.
  • Oversees the planning, deployment, maintenance, performance, and lifecycle management of branch technology, including but not limited to branch hardware (ATM, cash advance machines, scanners, kiosks, iPads, cash recyclers, concierge devices) and connectivity to ensure optimal uptime and workflow efficiency.
  • Partners with IT, operations, and line‑of‑business leaders to align branch technology strategies with enterprise goals and member experience expectations.
  • Engages with partners across the organization regarding strategy, enhancement implementation, test design, and vendor performance measurement. Ensures high availability of ATMs, branch tools, and proper cash levels across all channels.
  • Assesses consumer and business banking trends and apply them to the strategic vision of self‑service channels and branch tools, incorporating innovative solutions.
  • Manages departmental analytics and reporting for ATMs, cash management, and branch tools performance.
  • Increases member adoption of ATMs, self‑service channels, and branch digital tools.
  • Ensures all ATMs, branches, and vaults have the appropriate levels of cash on hand and meet reserve standards. Conducts regular audits of all cash‑holding locations.
  • Oversees compliance and risk‑mitigation programs for ATM and branch tools in accordance with ADA, PCI, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensures all audit and compliance procedures are followed and that satisfactory audit results are consistently achieved.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to improve the quality of the member and employee experience through innovative technology and process improvements.
  • Leads disaster recovery, redundancy planning, and crisis management activities for ATM, cash management, and branch tools environments in alignment with TCU’s Business Continuity Plan.
  • Manages departmental budgets, capital expenditures, vendor contracts, and resource allocation.

Reporting and Experience:

  • Reports directly to assigned AVP, Branch Operations.
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for assigned department leadership. Overall management responsibility for all department staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, and Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ATM operations, branch technology, banking operations, cash management, financial services technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience managing teams, vendors, budgets, and operational functions.

Compensation:

  • Manager, Branch Services & Cash Operations: Grade 19 - Exempt $116,646.40 – $144,102.40.
