Manager Brand & Content 80-100%

As Manager Brand & Content, you shape and strengthen the Basel Area brand and turn business priorities into compelling narratives and content across channels. Combining strategic thinking with hands-on creation, you drive quality, consistency and impact while advancing how we work with brand, content and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and strengthen the Basel Area brand, ensuring a consistent and compelling presence across Basel Area and endorsed brands
• Develop and evolve our overarching content strategy, translating business priorities into relevant themes, narratives and content plans together with our Marketing Managers
• Turn complex topics into compelling stories and create high-impact content hands-on across channels, while guiding and supporting colleagues in developing their own content
• Orchestrate content across our channels, ensuring a coherent editorial approach across website, social media, newsletters and other relevant touchpoints
• Use data and insights to continuously improve content and channel performance, working closely with our Digital Marketing Manager
• Shape how we work with content and AI, developing our future content and channel setup and ways of working, while driving shared standards, tools and capabilities and advancing the use of AI across content creation and workflows
• Collaborate closely across the organisation, particularly with your marketing peers and business leads, and manage external partners where needed

Your profile and experience

• Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in brand and content marketing, ideally in a B2B environment, combining strategy with hands-on content creation
• Experience in economic development, location marketing, innovation, life sciences, healthcare or related B2B environments is a big plus
• Solid expertise in brand management, content strategy and storytelling, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English and German, with a strong sense for tone of voice, messaging, editorial quality and audience relevance
• Strong digital content understanding across web, social media, newsletters and SEO, using data to optimize performance
• High affinity for AI and practical experience using AI tools for content creation and marketing workflows, with the ability to identify and advance relevant use cases across the marketing team
• Strategic and analytical thinking paired with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and process development skills
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills across teams, stakeholders and external partners
