CHEP – Business Control Manager (SSA Region) Durban, South Africa Transforming data-driven insights into sustainable supply chain solutions and operational excellence Where You Add Value : The Business Control Manager plays a critical leadership role in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control effectiveness across Logistics and Operations, including service center activities and end‑to‑end process oversight. This role safeguards assets, ensures policy compliance, and drives operational integrity across the SSA network. What You’ll Drive Enterprise Control Leadership: Establish and enforce standardized control frameworks and governance structures. Risk Management & Assurance: Lead risk assessments and deliver integrated risk control matrices across business units. Operational Oversight & Compliance: Ensure service center activities, spend controls, reconciliations, and SOPs align with CHEP standards. Data‑Driven Monitoring: Build centralized data repositories, leverage analytics, and monitor KRIs to identify emerging risks. Continuous Improvement: Maintain and evolve the CHEP Risk Control Framework in line with operational priorities. Audit & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate control effectiveness, audit findings, and remediation actions to senior stakeholders. Your Experience and Strengths Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ management experience in supply chain, finance, or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and governance principles. Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, BW (Analysis for Excel), and advanced Microsoft Suite. Proven ability to design and embed controls, evaluate SOPs, and drive remediation. Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights. Collaborative leadership style with influencing skills across matrix environments.
