We are seeking a Manager, C3 Operations Logistics & Services to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will lead initiatives of diverse scope and complexity to support the business’ manufacturing operations by handling the third-party workforce at the Cofer Conversion Center (C3). This operation’s objective is to use the capabilities and infrastructure of a third-party operated facility to support the Altria operating companies by performing semi-automated and/or manual activities.
What you will be doing:
- Overseeing the work of the third-party workforce, including providing direction, collaborating to solve problems, and providing resources when needed. Act as the liaison between the third-party organization and Altria’s operating companies.
- Maintaining the relationships and objectives of other supporting third-party organizations, to include technical and systems support.
- Understanding the contracts with each third-party organization and handling contract changes, renewals, extensions, etc. as needed.
- Overseeing the facility and management of utilities.
- Handling the budget by establishing an annual budget for each cost center at C3. Completing end-of-month charge backs to the accurate operating companies and departments.
- Leading execution of ongoing work, including returned goods processing, tax stamping, product destruction / disposal, consumer complaint processing, and much more.
- Receiving requests for new work from the operating companies and working with key business partners, both internal and external, to deliver the needs of the business. Remaining flexible and quick to react.
- Thoroughly understanding legal, tax, and regulatory implications of the operation and ensuring compliance.
- Strategically planning for the future of the operation, anticipating future needs and building the workforce to react appropriately.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of SAP, ODC, Altria Buyer and other key systems.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, logistics, production planning, supply chain, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills, as well as confirmed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Validated systems skills.
- Demonstrated manufacturing process expertise and problem-solving skills to identify, develop, and lead implementation of projects.
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office systems and working knowledge of manufacturing inventory systems preferred (i.e. SAP).
- Demonstrated attention to detail, and ability to apply complex and interrelated procedures consistently and accurately.
- Ability to work independently to prioritize work requirements, solve problems, facilitate business change, and drive process improvements. Possess a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing budgets and reporting, with some level of financial skill.
- Ability to perform duties that would be reasonably expected in a manufacturing environment including (but not limited to) bending, standing, lifting, twisting, and kneeling. May be exposed to one of the following elements: extremes of temperature, fumes, odors, dust, and loud noise.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $119,600.00 - $173,450.00.
