We're seeking an experienced Manager, Compliance Incident Management to lead and coordinate compliance incident management and breach reporting activities across Rabobank Australia. This is a highly visible role that will partner with senior stakeholders across the business, providing expert advice, challenge, and oversight to ensure compliance risks are effectively managed and regulatory obligations are met.

About the Role

Reporting into Compliance, you will be the subject matter expert for compliance incident management and breach reporting, driving a consistent and robust approach across the organisation.

You will work closely with business leaders, risk teams, and regulators to support effective incident assessment, reporting, remediation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the end-to-end management of compliance incidents and breach reporting across Rabobank Australia.

  • Assess incidents for regulatory reportability and ensure compliance with breach reporting obligations and timeframes.

  • Manage compliance breach processes, including preparation and submission of notifications to regulators where required.

  • Provide independent Line 2 review and challenge of incident assessments, root cause analyses, and remediation plans.

  • Monitor incident and action management activities to ensure timely completion and effective resolution.

  • Conduct thematic analysis to identify trends, systemic issues, and control weaknesses, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted Compliance SME, providing advice on incidents, investigations, escalations, and business initiatives.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to enhance the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of incident management practices.

  • Ensure incident and breach management activities remain aligned to the Compliance Management Framework and internal policies.

  • Contribute to management, board, committee, and regulatory reporting.

  • Support audit responses and remediation activities with compliance implications.

  • Deliver guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to uplift incident management capability across the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations, incident management frameworks, and breach reporting requirements within financial services. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and providing practical, risk-based advice.

What You'll Bring

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Banking, Compliance, or Risk Management within the financial services sector.

  • Strong experience managing compliance incidents, regulatory breaches, and associated reporting obligations.

  • Demonstrated expertise in risk and control frameworks.

  • Experience conducting reviews, investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation oversight.

  • Proven ability to design and deliver technical training to diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across all organisational levels.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable

  • Relevant professional qualification or industry membership.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and practices within banking and financial services.

  • Sound knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory obligations and translate them into practical business solutions.

  • Knowledge of risk management principles, governance practices, and compliance monitoring activities.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Microsoft Office applications.
