Partners with patient access, ambulatory operations, revenue cycle, and clinical leaders to establish priorities, implement solutions, and drive improvements in patient scheduling, referral management, eligibility verification, patient engagement, and access-related operational performance. Leads execution of strategy , implementation, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing support of outpatient front-end revenue cycle and patient access applications, including Epic Cadence, r eferrals, r eal- t ime e ligibility (RTE), a ppointment r eminders, scheduling, registration, and related technologies. Coordinates IT and vendor resources, facilitates development and execution of test scenarios, and promotes standardization of processes and data. Ensures technical competence of team members by providing training and guidance. Adapts to evolving application requirements and delivers effective solutions to support operational excellence. Essential Functions Recruits, hires, and retains top personnel using best practices. Develops and mentors staff through coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Fosters teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication across departments. Manages team workload, staffing plans, and resource allocation to meet operational and project objectives . Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations. Facilitates governance processes, evaluates enhancement requests, and prioritizes work based on organizational value and resource availability. Manages application implementation, support, and optimization using project management and ITIL frameworks. Oversees service delivery, prioritizes work assignments, and ensures customer satisfaction. Monitors team performance metrics, supports achievement of departmental and organizational goals, and promotes accountability for delivering high-quality results. Identifies and implements continuous service and process improvements. Serves as subject matter expert, providing guidance on project execution and application workflows. Oversees execution of organizational and departmental strategies for patient access and front-end revenue cycle application portfolios, ensuring resources, priorities, and application initiatives are aligned to operational needs and organizational goals. Manages relationships with vendors and external partners to support application performance, issue resolution, and delivery of technology solutions. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirement Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field Experience Requirement 5 + years of experience in computer science, information systems, or a relevant area 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted. Certifications & Licensures Epic Certified in relevant applications or required within 90 days of hire Working Conditions This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of remote work and on-site presence at healthcare facilities and corporate offices as needed. Regular interaction with clinical, operational, and technical teams is required . The role may involve occasional travel between locations, participation in after- hours support activities, and response to critical system issues outside of normal business hours. Work is primarily performed in an office setting and requires extended periods of computer use and virtual collaboration. Compliance with all organizational privacy, security, and healthcare regulations is required . Physical Demands This position requires regular sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions on a regular basis; intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; occasional standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
