Manager, Engineering Solutions

We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Engineering Solutions to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering complex engineering software solutions to customers across multiple industries. Based in Montreal and reporting to the Vice President, Services, this role combines business leadership, technical understanding, customer engagement, and people management. You will lead a team of approximately 15 professionals across four countries, with responsibility for the team’s financial performance, delivery success, technical direction, and continued growth. The Engineering Solutions team is often called upon when customer challenges do not fit neatly into a single discipline or product. The team brings together software development, engineering expertise, CAD customization, automation, and emerging technologies such as AI to solve complex industrial problems. What You’ll Do Lead the Business Own the financial performance of the Engineering Solutions business unit, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, capacity, and overall P&L performance. Develop and execute the team’s annual business plan in alignment with Maya HTT’s Services strategy. Balance customer demand, team capacity, technical capability, and commercial priorities. Identify opportunities to grow the business through new customers, expanded engagements, new capabilities, and repeatable solution offerings. Work closely with Sales, Services leaders, and technical teams to shape opportunities and develop compelling solutions for customers. Monitor project and portfolio performance and take action when commercial or delivery objectives are at risk. Lead a Multidisciplinary Team Lead and develop a team of approximately 15 engineers and software professionals distributed across four countries. Create an environment of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Develop technical leaders within the team and provide them with the autonomy and support needed to lead complex engagements. Coach team members, support career development, and ensure the organisation has the right capabilities for future customer demand. Coordinate resources across disciplines and geographies to assemble the right teams for each customer problem. Work closely with other Maya HTT practices, including PLM, Simulation, CAD/CAM, AI, IT, and the PMO. Own Customer Solutions Act as a senior customer-facing leader for strategic and complex engineering engagements. Understand customer engineering, manufacturing, and product-development challenges and translate them into achievable technical solutions. Work with technical leads and architects to define solution approaches, estimate effort, identify risk, and commit to successful delivery. Build trusted relationships with engineering and business stakeholders at customer organizations. Ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with the customer's desired business outcomes. Step into complex or at-risk engagements when senior leadership and technical coordination are required. Drive Engineering Software and Automation Solutions The Engineering Solutions team develops and delivers custom solutions across a broad range of engineering technologies. As its manager, you will help guide capabilities including: Custom engineering software development CAD customization and workflow automation Engineering application and system integration Design and manufacturing automation Engineering data and workflow integration Custom tools supporting engineering processes Shape the Future of AI and Agentic Engineering Engineering software is entering a significant period of change, and this team will play an important role in how Maya HTT responds. You will help define how we adopt AI and agentic approaches to engineering automation , including: Agentic engineering workflows AI-assisted design, simulation, and manufacturing Engineering copilots and assistants AI-enabled workflow automation Integration of LLMs and agents with engineering applications and enterprise systems Retrieval, grounding, and engineering knowledge systems Human-in-the-loop engineering workflows Combining commercial AI platforms with Maya HTT technologies, methodologies, and intellectual property The successful candidate does not need to arrive as an AI expert. However, they must be highly curious about the space, willing to experiment, and motivated to evolve traditional engineering automation and software-development approaches as new technologies mature. You will be successful in this role if you have: Significant experience leading technical or engineering teams in an industrial, engineering software, consulting, or professional-services environment. An engineering or technical background that allows you to understand complex customer engineering problems and work credibly with engineers, developers, architects, and technical specialists. Experience managing a business, portfolio, practice, or team with responsibility for revenue, profitability, budgets, or P&L performance. Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of how technical decisions affect project risk, delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Experience leading multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams. Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and executive stakeholders. Experience defining and delivering complex technical solutions rather than simply managing established products or processes. Strong ownership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The ability to operate effectively in an environment where customer requirements are sometimes ambiguous and solutions must be created rather than selected from a standard catalogue. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. (The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers and customers based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally)​​ Ability to work from our Montreal area office and travel occasionally to customer and team locations. Nice to Have Experience with Siemens NX CAD, NX Open, CAD customization, or engineering automation. Experience with AI, large language models, agentic systems, RAG, or engineering copilots. Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or other PLM technologies. Experience with engineering software development or software-delivery organisations. Experience with CAD, CAM, CAE, simulation, manufacturing, or digital engineering environments. Experience managing consulting, services, systems-integration, or custom software teams.
