DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n)Manager, ERP Architecture.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business toestablisha standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation isanticipatedto be completed within 18 to24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may berequired, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. This role will plan, design build, and govern the multi-instance SAP application landscape including ECC and S/4 as DePuy Synthes separates fromJnJto become astand aloneorganization.
We are looking foraSAP platformleaderstomanage multiple conveyed SAP ECC and S/4 instances supporting Day 1 separation, lead through the TSA transition,and execute on SAP instance consolidation into S/4 supporting TSA exit.
This role will be responsible willwillpartner closely with business and IT stakeholders to align ERP/SAP architecture with business processes, enabling operational efficiency, innovation, and growth. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology direction and contribute to a modern, connected digital ecosystem including AI.
We are looking for experienced SAP platform professionals with one or more of the following skill sets:

Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple conveyed SAP ECC and S/4 instances supporting Day 1 separation, lead through the TSA transition period, and execute on SAP instance consolidation into S/4 supporting TSA exit.
Develop tactical and operational plans to achieve ERP architecture goals, and communicate those plans to supervisors and individual contributors
Allocate resources for the assessment ofnew technology, delivery of ERP capabilities, and execution of lifecycle management
Direct day-to-day operations for solving problems related to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
Define andmaintainERP and enterprise application architecture standards, ensuring alignment with business strategy and enterprise technology standards
Oversee the design and integration of ERP systems with other enterprise platforms, ensuring compatibility across systems, technologies, and data environments
Ensure ERP solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for the ERP architecture function
Manage operational aspects of the team (workflow, performance, compliance), ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable ERP architecture solutions
Coordinate vendor, system integrator, and delivery partner activities to ensure adherence to architecture standards
Identifyopportunities toleverageemerging technologies tooptimizeERP capabilities and enterprise operations
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldrequired
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience and Skills
Required:
8+ years of experience in enterprise/ERP architecture, including prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members.
Hands on and leadership experiencewithone or more of the following:
SAPABAP –Stronghands ondevelopment experience across SAP ECC and S/4HANA, in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows)
SAP Security - Strong hands-onexpertisewith SAP GRC Access Control, including Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Access Request Management (ARM), Business Role Management (BRM)and Emergency Access Management (EAM/Firefighter).
SAP BASIS – Stronghands onexperience planning,deliveringand administering SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, across hybrid cloud platform landscapes.
SAP Integration BTP / IS - Lead integration development and architecture across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, EWM, TM, GTS, IBP, Concur, Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
Lead teams and SIpartners;provide technical governance, code reviews, estimation, designauthorityand mentoring.
Strong experience with production support, critical incident management, performance tuning, root-causeanalysisand release management across 24×7 global SAP environments.
Excellent collaboration with SAP functional leads, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, QA/Validation,Infrastructureand global IT leadership.
Preferred:
Experiencewith globalS/4implementations or transformations
Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori/UI5 and REST/OData services is highly desirable.
Experience with S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP BTP and Joule/Generative AI enablement
Strong knowledge of API Management, REST/OData/SOAP, IDoc, RFC/BAPIand event-driven integration.
Experience managing SAP security integration with SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Identity Authentication/Identity Provisioning and enterprise IAM/SSO platforms.
Understanding ofGxP, CSV/CSA, audit trails, electronic records, changecontroland validated SAP environments within Pharma/Medical Device.
Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or medical technology
Exposure to enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks
Experience managing vendors or delivery partners
Experience in a separation, spin-off, carve-out, or M&A technology environment
Other:
Language: Englishrequired
Travel: Up to 20%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel
Certifications: ERP platform certifications (e.g., SAP), TOGAF, or cloud certifications preferred
