Manager, Founder Memberships

Reports to: Director, Sales & Partnerships

Location: Remote, ideally New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA area

About Cherub

Cherub is the social-first fundraising network connecting founders, investors, and creators. We help founders build strategic cap tables, meet investors and creators, and access the relationships that can help grow their businesses.

We’re looking for a sales-driven Manager of Founder Memberships to help bring more great founders into the Cherub ecosystem.

The Role

The Manager of Founder Memberships is a pure sales role focused on selling Cherub memberships to founders.

You will own the sales process from lead to close: identifying prospects, conducting sales calls, following up, overcoming objections, and converting founders into paying Cherub members.

You will work with a mix of inbound leads and outbound prospecting, with clear monthly and quarterly sales goals.

This role is ideal for someone who loves selling, moves quickly, follows up relentlessly, and genuinely enjoys talking to founders.

What You’ll Own

  • Own the founder membership sales pipeline from first touch through close.

  • Respond quickly to inbound founder leads and convert qualified prospects into sales conversations.

  • Build outbound prospect lists and proactively identify founders who are a strong fit for Cherub.

  • Conduct founder sales calls and platform demos.

  • Clearly communicate Cherub’s value proposition, products, pricing, and membership options.

  • Follow up consistently with prospects and move opportunities through the pipeline.

  • Handle common sales objections around fundraising, pricing, timing, investor access, and ROI.

  • Maintain clean and accurate CRM records, next steps, and pipeline reporting.

  • Hit monthly and quarterly founder membership revenue targets.

  • Identify patterns in sales conversations and share feedback that can improve Cherub’s product, positioning, and sales materials.

  • Develop relationships with accelerators, founder communities, VCs, agencies, and other sources of qualified founder leads.

  • Partner closely with the broader Cherub team to create a seamless handoff from sales into membership.

Who You Are

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, membership sales, SaaS sales, recruiting, or another quota-carrying role.

  • You genuinely enjoy selling and closing.

  • You are comfortable being measured against clear revenue and conversion goals.

  • You’re confident on calls and can quickly build trust with founders.

  • You’re persistent without being pushy and know how to follow up.

  • You don't wait for leads to land in your inbox—you know how to prospect.

  • You are highly organized and can manage a high volume of conversations simultaneously.

  • You can learn a product quickly and translate its value into a compelling sales pitch.

  • You are curious about startups, fundraising, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.

  • Startup experience is a plus, but a strong sales track record matters more.

What Success Looks Like

You consistently hit or exceed founder membership sales targets, maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects, convert inbound demand efficiently, and create new founder demand through proactive outbound sales.

You become exceptional at understanding what a founder needs, determining whether Cherub is the right solution, and getting great-fit founders across the finish line.

How We Work

We move before we're told to. High agency isn't a perk here, it's the job. We own outcomes, not tasks, and we'd rather you try something and course-correct than wait around for a green light.

We're craftspeople. We ship fast and sometimes it's imperfect, but at the end of a hard sprint you should be able to point at what you made and mean it. Generic isn't good enough here.

We stay curious. Everything is moving fast: platforms, markets, AI. The best people here are students of their craft whether or not anyone asked them to be.

We operate with integrity. No politics, no ego, no blame. We're honest with each other and with the people trusting us with real money and real connections.

We earn the trust we're given. This company is small, the mission is big, and every person here carries real weight. We don't micro manage you. We trust you. Don't make us regret it.
