How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in Indigenous relations, reconciliation, finance and stakeholder engagement to help advance Indigenous participation in agriculture and food.

As Manager, Indigenous Relations Business Enablement, you’ll lead employees and coordinate initiatives that support FCC’s Indigenous Relations strategy. Your strong relationship-management and financial-analysis skills will enable you to oversee business readiness and access-to-capital work, strengthen collaboration with Indigenous communities and organizations, and align specialized work with FCC priorities.

If you are a collaborative, thoughtful leader who communicates clearly, listens actively and is motivated by reconciliation and Indigenous economic development, this might be the role for you!

What you’ll do

  • Lead Indigenous Relations priorities and initiatives across FCC and with Indigenous communities, organizations and partners.
  • Oversee financial analysis, research, business readiness and access-to-capital activities, ensuring work aligns with Indigenous Relations objectives and established FCC processes.
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners to identify emerging issues, barriers and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations that inform FCC programs, products, processes and partnerships.
  • Set priorities, allocate work, manage capacity and monitor the quality of team delivery.
  • Coach and develop employees while fostering a culturally safe, inclusive and collaborative work environment.

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, social sciences or a related field
  • Six or more years of relevant experience in Indigenous relations, Indigenous economic development, finance, program delivery, stakeholder engagement or a related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of Indigenous relations, reconciliation, stakeholder engagement and partnership development
  • Knowledge of Indigenous governments, communities and organizations, including economic development priorities and issues affecting Indigenous participation in agriculture and food
  • Understanding of Indigenous finance, business readiness, access-to-capital pathways and the Indigenous financial and economic development ecosystem
  • Working knowledge of commercial lending, credit, risk and financial analysis sufficient to oversee specialized work and assess recommendations
  • Leadership or people-management experience, including setting priorities, supporting employee development and overseeing team delivery

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of program delivery, process governance, performance measurement and organizational change
  • Experience developing and delivering Indigenous programs and managing external partner relationships
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
