Manager, Inside Sales
Reports to: VP, Growth
Department: Global Growth
Location: US - Remote
About Us
At Kinetix Health Group, we believe integrated medical communications have the power to shape clinical practice and improve lives. We help pharma and biotech move from fragmented communication to true impact: turning complex science into clear narrative, enabling confident scientific dialogue, activating connected engagement, and delivering measurable results. We stand apart through strategic thinking, excellence in execution, and a people first, collaborative mindset. We partner with clients who share our ambition to challenge convention and build solutions that make complex science accessible, engaging, and memorable. By combining scientific depth with human centered storytelling, connected systems, and AI enabled intelligence, we help medical and scientific leaders communicate with clarity, authenticity, and measurable impact. MedComms for Pharma. From Evidence to Impact.
Role Purpose
Kinetix Health Group is scaling from a founder-led, relationship-driven new business model to a systematic, integrated growth engine. The Manager, Inside Sales owns the hands-on execution of top-of-funnel lead generation: running outbound and inbound prospecting personally, qualifying leads, and delivering a steady flow of qualified opportunities to the Business Development team.
This is a working, execution-focused role rather than a strategic build-and-lead mandate. The Manager will operate a playbook developed jointly with the VP, Growth and the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), prove out the model in market, and — as volume and results justify it — take on one or two SDRs to support delivery. It is a strong entry point into the inside sales function and a natural growth path toward a Director-level remit as the team and pipeline scale.
Why This Role Exists
Kinetix's growth strategy targets a step-change in new-logo acquisition alongside organic account growth, underpinned by a single, integrated Client Experience function spanning acquisition, partnerships, and delivery. Historically, new business generation has relied on senior BD relationships and inbound referrals with great success, the goal of this role is to help accelerate and scale growth to double revenues over the next 3-5 years. The Inside Sales Manager is the first hire to operationalize and maximize a dedicated inside sales / lead generation function.
Further, aligned to our vision of building a differentiated agency model of the future with AI truly integrated, the inside sales team will be leaders in using AI at scale, where appropriate, to build an efficient and effective lead generation capability and engine. The manager will work closely with marketing and head of sales to ensure coordination of key campaigns and targeted client engagement programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Qualification
- Execute multi-touch outbound campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn/social) against an agreed target account list and ideal customer profile (ICP).
- Qualify inbound leads generated by marketing (website, webinars, content, conferences) using an agreed qualification framework (e.g. BANT/MEDDIC).
- Personally manage day-to-day prospecting activity and hit weekly/monthly activity and meeting targets.
- Feed insights from prospecting conversations — objections, messaging that lands, competitive intel — back to the CGO and Marketing to refine the playbook.
Collaboration with Business Development & Client Partnerships
- Hand off qualified opportunities to BD Directors with clear context (account intelligence, pain points, stakeholders, timing) via an agreed handoff process.
- Support BD Directors on target account research and outreach for priority accounts.
- Flag expansion or cross-sell signals spotted in prospecting conversations to Client Partnerships leadership.
Process, Tools & Reporting
- Maintain CRM hygiene for all top-of-funnel activity (lead source, stage, activity logging) in line with the process agreed with RevOps/Marketing Ops.
- Use sales engagement tooling (e.g. sequencing platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) provided by the business to run outreach efficiently.
- Collaborate with VP, Growth, CGO and Chief of Staff to analyse, assess and recommend AI tools to support top of funnel opportunity generation
- Report weekly on activity, pipeline generated, and conversion rates to the CGO.
Future Scope (as the function proves out)
- Help scope and onboard the additional lead generation hire(s), with input into playbook and process
- Take on informal coaching/oversight of early hires while remaining primarily a hands-on contributor.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
- 4–6 years in sales development, inside sales, or new business roles, with a strong personal track record of hitting outbound and meeting-booked targets.
- Experience in a B2B, complex-sale environment; comfortable running a full-cycle prospecting motion independently.
- Exposure to pharma, biotech, medtech, healthcare, or professional/agency services is a strong plus; medical communications or CRO/CSO experience is ideal but not required.
- Working knowledge of CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g. Salesforce/HubSpot, Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Some exposure to coaching or informally supporting junior colleagues is a plus, though this is not primarily a people-management role at hire.
Skills & Attributes
- Self-starter who is energised by high-volume, disciplined outbound activity and hitting a number.
- Able to learn scientific/medical subject matter quickly enough to hold a credible first conversation with medical affairs and clinical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communicator; comfortable crafting and iterating outbound messaging.
- Collaborative and coachable — will be operating a playbook shaped by the CGO and BD leadership rather than writing it solo.
- Growth-oriented: sees this as a platform to grow into a Director-level, team-building remit as the function scales.
Preferred
- Prior experience prospecting into pharma, biotech, or life-sciences accounts.
- Familiarity with the drug/product development lifecycle and medical affairs and communications more broadly.
- Experience with sales engagement / intent-data tooling.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
- Fully ramped on ICP, messaging, and tooling; outbound sequences live and running at target volume.
- First qualified opportunities being handed to BD Directors.
First 180 Days
- Consistent monthly cadence of qualified opportunities against target; clear, repeatable personal process for prospecting and qualification.
- Early input into the case for a first SDR hire, if volume supports it.
First 12 Months
- Reliable, quota-consistent contributor to new-logo pipeline with a track record the business can point to.
- Clear readiness assessment (with CGO) on whether the role should evolve toward a Director-level, team-building remit.
