Salary: $154,231 – $178,369 plus Superannuation

About the Role

The Manager, Legal Services, will lead and manage a team to carry out a range of legal functions consistent with the Commissions obligations under the HCC Act.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a law degree and eligibility for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW
  • extensive litigation experience with an emphasis on advocacy and administrative law
  • experience managing a team and leading change
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, advocacy skills and analytical ability
  • ability to prioritise work and meet specific deadlines

Essential Requirements

To be eligible to apply for this position, applicants must have existing Australian work rights.

Applicants must also hold a current NSW Practicing Certificate.

Given the HCCC’s unique and critical role in maintaining the integrity of the NSW health system, it is essential that all prospective employees are able to carry out their duties in an independent, honest and consistent manner with uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Background Verification Check which includes a National Police Check (Criminal History) and Qualification check.

The selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist hiring managers in determining your suitability for the role.

A talent pool may be created from this recruitment for ongoing and temporary roles of the same work classification that may become available for filling over the next 18 months.
