Manager, Medical & Scientific Affairs

As a Manager, Medical & Scientific Affairs, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for supporting imaging clinical trials, driving operational excellence, developing scientific partnerships, and advancing innovative imaging solutions for our clients. This role combines scientific expertise, clinical trial knowledge, project leadership, and people management to support study design, execution, and continuous improvement across global imaging programs. You will work closely with clients, radiologists, operational teams, and senior leadership to ensure successful delivery of imaging services and exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with Business Development and Contracts & Proposals teams to review and develop Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Analyze sponsor protocols to establish imaging read criteria, workflows, and imaging charter requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external radiologist groups to ensure alignment, training, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop project strategies, execution plans, and training initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional process improvement efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Support the development of new operational strategies that harmonize therapeutic area practices and business objectives.
• Mentor and develop Medical Affairs team members through coaching, goal setting, and performance guidance.
• Establish operational efficiencies through analysis of business, service, financial, and operational data.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify innovative solutions that enhance client value and service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support scientific and operational discussions.
• Develop capabilities presentations and participate in client bid defenses and business development activities.
• Support the creation of research publications, scientific manuscripts, editorials, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Evaluate and implement advancements in imaging criteria, interpretation techniques, and central review methodologies.
• Support specialized client requests, including study case image presentations and scientific consultations.
• Serve as a delegate for the Vice President, Medical Affairs when required.
• Lead team training, establish performance expectations, and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
• Contribute to SOP development, quality initiatives, audit readiness activities, and regulatory compliance efforts.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree required in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medical Imaging, Clinical Research, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience within clinical research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industries.
• Experience working within an Imaging CRO environment required.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting multi-modality imaging clinical trials.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, imaging workflows, and study execution.
• Experience partnering with sponsors, clinicians, radiologists, and cross-functional operational teams.
• Experience evaluating and improving operational processes and business workflows.
• Familiarity with medical imaging software and imaging review platforms preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and client-facing abilities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global environment.
