Manager of Division Pool - West Region Location – Outside This is an outside role, which means that you will work at a distance in western region of the United States. Expected travel is up to 25% which includes trips to our offices in Wisconsin 4 times/year. Employee Type – Salaried Bonus – This position is eligible for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance. Summary of Role The Manager of Divisional Pool is accountable for leading and advancing the performance, consistency, and impact of Regional Pool Managers (RPMs) within an assigned division. This role ensures the effective execution of the Cooperative’s dairy pool strategy by driving member-owner experience, safeguarding compliance, and delivering against milk supply and retention targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • People Leadership & Team Development - 30% o Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices. o Lead performance management by establishing clear expectations, setting measurable goals, providing timely feedback, and addressing performance gaps proactively. o Hire, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring effective ramp-up and long-term capability building. o Foster a culture of trust, respect, and psychological safety where team members feel safe to share ideas, raise concerns, and contribute fully. o Lead the team through change by providing clarity, direction, and support during evolving business conditions. o Recognize and reinforce individual and team contributions to strengthen engagement, motivation, and alignment with cooperative values. o Handle confidential information with discretion. • Strategic Operations & Business Performance - 50% o Own and drive divisional performance outcomes across member-owner experience, retention, milk supply, and compliance. o Translate cooperative strategy into clear, executable regional priorities and hold RPMs accountable for delivery. o Monitor and evaluate divisional KPIs such as milk volume trends, onboarding pipelines, and attrition while collaborating with RPMs to proactively mitigate supply risks and implement strategies that protect member viability and cooperative supply goals. o Ensure a consistent, high-quality member-owner experience across all regions by reinforcing strong engagement, communication, and responsiveness standards. o Manage divisional budgets and expenses with discipline and accountability. • Stakeholder Partnership & Organizational Alignment - 20% o Support RPMs in navigating complex or high-risk member situations, ensuring outcomes protect relationships and the business. o Synthesize insights and intelligence from across the division, including milk production trends, regional risks, competitive pressures, and farmer feedback, and communicate recommendations to leadership. o Serve as a critical link between field operations and internal teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and informed decision-making. Additional Duties and Responsibilities • Attend, support and host meetings, field days, workshops, conferences, etc. within region as needed. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science/Agriculture/Ag Business preferred. • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team preferred. • Proven experience and aptitude for working with farmers. • Milk quality experience preferred. • Knowledge of organic production systems and organic certification standards and requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone skills; ability to communicate complex information in a concise and professional manner. • Ability to foster teamwork to instill strong problem-solving skills, while developing effective interpersonal collaboration. • Ability to actively listen, problem solve and communicate well with other departments. • Critical thinking skills; the ability to make effective decisions among broadly variable conditions. • Skilled in Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and databases. • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. • Adept at recognizing, adapting and responding to changing conditions by prioritizing and organizing workloads effectively. • High capacity to thrive in a fast-paced service-oriented environment. • Ability to support after-hours work as needed. • Ability to travel with overnight stays throughout the year. • This role has a requirement to live within the region assigned to them. Base salary range: $97,385 - $129,833 per year This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
