Job Description:

Manager of Flow & Special Services

The Manager of Flow and Special Services provides strategic and operational leadership across key inbound capabilities, ensuring merchandise moves effectively through the TJX supply chain while supporting unique and evolving business requirements. This leader owns network flow execution and visibility, provides governance and strategic direction across key inbound capabilities to ensure alignment with business priorities and network strategy, and drives integrated planning and long-range initiatives across the inbound network.

The role serves as a key connector across Inbound Operations, DC Services, Merch Flow, Business Enablement, and other partners; leads the continued development and integration of the Inbound Command Center (ICC); and represents Inbound Operations in network changes and strategic initiatives. The Manager builds scalable capabilities, clear accountability, strong cross-functional partnerships, and organizational talent to support current execution and TJX's longer-term Logistics strategy.

What You’ll Do

Network Flow Strategy & Execution

Own end-to-end inbound network flow execution and visibility, aligning merchandise flow with network capacity, operating conditions, and business priorities.

Lead processes and decision frameworks to identify, communicate, and mitigate flow constraints and disruptions, while improving service, capacity alignment, and network resiliency.

Drive scalable flow capabilities and continuous improvement through clear standards, performance measures, root-cause identification, and proactive risk management.

Inbound Command Center & Integrated Planning

Lead the continued development, integration, and long-range strategy for the ICC, strengthening end-to-end visibility and proactive management of the inbound network.

Advance Integrated Planning by connecting transportation, distribution center, merchandise, and network requirements to improve planning, execution, and response to changing conditions.

Establish governance and decision-making frameworks that drive accountability, cross-functional alignment, and effective execution while supporting future growth, automation, and network complexity.

Special Services & Evolving Business Requirements

Provide leadership and oversight for Special Services and unique or evolving business requirements, ensuring clear accountability, prioritization, and effective execution.

Partner with Merchants and operational stakeholders to translate merchant-directed special buys and other unique needs into executable inbound solutions.

Develop sustainable processes, clear roles, and appropriate governance while maintaining the flexibility required to support non-standard business needs.

Network Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership

Represent Inbound Operations in facility openings, closures, geographical moves, automation, and other network changes, ensuring inbound requirements, risks, and dependencies are incorporated into planning and implementation.

Build strong partnerships across functions, influence decisions without direct authority, and align stakeholders around shared priorities and business outcomes.

Translate strategic direction into executable operational solutions and lead through implementation and transition as the network and supporting capabilities evolve.

People & Organizational Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop associates across Flow and Special Services, building a high-performing organization capable of supporting current requirements and future-state capabilities.

Establish clear accountability and decision rights while strengthening subject matter expertise, knowledge transfer, succession planning, and leadership development.

Align team capacity and capabilities with evolving business needs and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.

Decision Making

Make operational and strategic decisions needed to maintain effective inbound network flow and alignment with business priorities, including prioritization, trade-offs, escalation, and risk mitigation.

Use operational expertise and cross-functional influence to evaluate alternatives, drive alignment, and balance immediate execution needs with longer-term objectives.
