At IAG, we’re ready for you. We're the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible.
Help shape the technology platforms that power our business.
We're looking for a strategic Portfolio Delivery Lead to drive the governance, planning and performance of our Infrastructure & Cloud portfolio, ensuring critical technology investments deliver maximum value and business impact.
Working at the heart of a significant change portfolio, you'll bring together investment decisions, delivery priorities, resource management and risk oversight to enable successful execution across the enterprise. You'll provide the insights, transparency and governance that help leaders make informed decisions, optimise outcomes and deliver with confidence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded portfolio leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning strategy into action. If you're passionate about cloud, infrastructure and delivering enterprise-wide transformation, this role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the future of our technology landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Lead annual and quarterly portfolio planning, prioritisation and OKR development, ensuring Infrastructure & Cloud investments are aligned to strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value.
- Drive portfolio performance management through KPI tracking, milestone reporting and the delivery of actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
- Manage portfolio governance and operating rhythms, including leadership forums, planning cycles, executive reporting, QBRs and key decision-making bodies.
- Maintain oversight of portfolio funding, financial performance, investment status and delivery health, ensuring transparency and strong governance outcomes.
- Coordinate and communicate portfolio risks, issues, dependencies, milestones and decisions, while ensuring adherence to PMO standards, quality gates and reporting disciplines.
- Embed and continuously improve portfolio ways of working, delivery controls and operating rhythms to strengthen execution across Infrastructure, Cloud and delivery partner teams.
- Support workforce planning, demand management and cross-portfolio prioritisation through data-driven insights, reporting and resource optimisation.
- Build a high-performing delivery community through stakeholder engagement, onboarding excellence, mentoring project managers and driving capability uplift across the broader project delivery practice.
This is a permanent role and offer a flexible hybrid work model based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years' experience delivering complex portfolios, programs or major technology initiatives within large, matrixed organisations, partnering across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven experience managing portfolio governance, executive reporting and performance disciplines, providing clear insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing investment funding, financial oversight and value realisation across significant portfolios.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and clearly articulate operational, delivery and investment risks.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, set clear expectations and consistently deliver outcomes in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related discipline, with Infrastructure and Cloud portfolio experience highly desirable.
