Job Title: Manager, Product Design Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Department: Product Management Reports to: Chief Product Officer Job Summary Quickbase is seeking a Manager, Product Design to lead a talented team of Product Designers responsible for creating intuitive, accessible, and customer-centric experiences across our platform. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this leader will coach and develop designers while partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver experiences that are simple, powerful, and scalable. The Manager will help translate design strategy into execution, ensuring high-quality user experiences while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused design culture. Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage, coach, and develop a team of Product Designers through regular feedback, mentoring, and career development while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Guide the design and execution of intuitive, elegant user experiences across web and mobile products that solve meaningful customer problems. Ensure customer empathy, user research, usability testing, and data-driven insights are incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle. Work closely with Product Management and Engineering leaders to align design priorities with product strategy, business objectives, and customer needs. Establish and uphold high standards for interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and usability through design reviews, coaching, and best practices. Partner with design leadership to evolve and promote the adoption of Quickbase's design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across products. Ensure products meet accessibility standards and deliver experiences that are usable and inclusive for all customers. Continuously refine design processes, collaboration models, and delivery practices to improve team efficiency and product outcomes. Leverage customer feedback, usability metrics, and product analytics to evaluate design effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX, or Interaction Design within SaaS or enterprise software environments. 2+ years of people management experience leading and developing Product Designers. Demonstrated success designing complex, workflow-oriented enterprise software products. Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, interaction design principles, and modern design tools. Experience collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle. Working knowledge of design systems and experience contributing to scalable UI patterns and component libraries. Experience applying accessibility standards and inclusive design principles. Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
