Why your role matters
The Manager, Product Marketing Industry & Government plays a strategic role in driving learner acquisition and capability solution outcomes across domestic markets for the Lifelong Learning (LLL) Hub and UNSW Canberra business units.
This role is expected to help drive measurable growth and portfolio health across all non-award offerings (B2C, B2B and B2G) by connecting market insights, product strategy, go-to-market execution and sales enablement. The role will standardise UNSW’s approach to industry and government product marketing, strengthen sales enablement, and ensure alignment between Faculties, sales, business development and central marketing functions to win and grow industry and government opportunities.
The scope of the role will include non-award offerings, short courses, capability programs, tenders, RFQs and industry sales, as well as supporting the UNSW Online pipeline where appropriate.
The role will work closely with sales and business development teams across Lifelong Learning and UNSW Canberra, and Marketing & Digital Experience Faculty Partners, to support the development of recruitment and go-to-market strategies for each segment. The role will ensure that customer needs, market insights and best-practice sales approaches are reflected across these strategies.
This a newly created role reporting to the Marketing & Digital Experience Faculty Partner, Growth. It has no direct reports.
Specific accountabilities include:
-
Lead the B2B and B2G product marketing approach across LLL and Canberra portfolios, diagnosing portfolio performance and recommending optimisations.
-
Establish a consistent B2B and B2G product marketing framework, including customer value propositions, competitor benchmarking, go-to-market templates, positioning frameworks and sales enablement resources.
-
Lead go-to-market plans for priority products, such as new launches and optimisation of existing offers.
-
Design integrated campaigns in close coordination with relevant Divisional and business unit teams.
-
Develop high-quality, standardised sales tools, partnering with sales and business development teams to embed assets into deal cycles and support major bids, RFQs and tenders as required.
-
Partner with UNSW Online product teams on new program launches, market validation and positioning where appropriate.
-
Act as a “translator” between Faculties, sales, business development and marketing to reduce fragmentation in enterprise engagement, striving to define a single coordinated response model.
-
Support the Marketing & Digital Experience Faculty Partner, Growth, in shaping growth plans for the allocated portfolio.
-
Leverage CRM, campaign and pipeline data to drive continuous improvement and integrate insights into lead journeys, conversion optimisation and B2B CRM capability uplift.
-
Monitor and report on sales and marketing performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
