About UDX FRANCHISE, PRODUCTS & PARTNERSHIPS:
Universal Destination & Experiences’ Franchise, Products & Partnerships team (UDX FPP) extends NBCUniversal’s iconic brands, characters and stories through global consumer products and games, theme park merchandise and retail, in addition to the UDX enterprise function of franchise management and strategic partnerships. Supporting NBCUniversal’s owned portfolio of properties as well as third-party partners across the theme park business, UDX FPP creates products, experiences and partnerships that deepen fandom and connects audiences around the world with the characters, stories and worlds that define Universal.
Reporting to the Director, Retail Development for Fashion and Home, the Manager, Retail Development will drive opportunities supporting NBCUniversal’s IP within select categories across the Fashion and Home categories at Target and Amazon. The Manager will collaborate internally with Category, Franchise Strategy, Product Development and Retail Marketing teams to pitch, secure and implement merchandise programs. While also partnering externally with Fashion and Home licensee partners and relevant Buyers/Vendor Managers to build meaningful programs and evergreen support throughout the year. Together, driving towards annual revenue targets across both accounts that deliver on long-term UP&E growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities across Fashion and Home categories including Apparel, Footwear, Accessories, and Home Categories for Amazon and Target. Specific ownership of: Sleep, Socks and Underwear, Accessories, Footwear, Backpacks, Lunch Kits, Luggage, Bullseye’s Playground, Seasonal and Popcorn Buckets for Target and Amazon
- Execute strategies that maximize NBCUniversal product and program placement across the Fashion & Home business.
- Develop influential relationships with Buyers/Vendor Managers and be the “account expert”, leading authority on key category, departmental, and corporate strategies for internal teams.
- Drive each Buyer/VM meeting agenda, presentation and deliver timely recaps for both internal and external partners.
- Regularly track POS data, consumer insights, and account-specific initiatives, recommending action plans to address dynamic business needs.
- Develop strong relationships with licensees’ retail account teams to support the sell-in of NBCUniversal IP; regularly reviews performance of existing licensees and makes recommendations to Category based on buyer feedback, first-hand experience, and program opportunities.
- Proactively tracks and prioritizes product placement for marketing program development.
- Contributes to bi-annual Studio Swing Presentations (and other key meetings throughout the year) with forward-thinking approach, including building out category-specific strategies by account.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit and thinks about new ways to work or drive new processes, go to market, and thinks big from ideation through to execution.
- Can handle a wide range of tasks or situations, demonstrating a broad skillset and the ability to switch between different responsibilities and tasks that show that they are versatile, adaptable, or resilient.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the team and business.
- Ability to travel as required to support business and operational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of National Account sales experience Target and/or Amazon experience preferred
- Strong skill set:

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $105,000 - $125,000 (bonus eligible)
