Purpose of Role

Responsible for improving the effectiveness, consistency, and efficiency of sales execution within the Retail Sales organization. Evaluates sales processes and performance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and partners cross-functionally to design and implement practical solutions. Serves as a bridge between frontline sales operations and business partners, helping ensure processes, tools, workflows, and initiatives enable sales teams to operate effectively and deliver strong business results.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Evaluates sales processes, workflows, and practices to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, productivity, and sales execution.
  • Partners with Retail Sales leaders and frontline teams to understand operational challenges, performance barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develops and implements process improvements that simplify sales execution while supporting business, customer, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with business partners to evaluate, prioritize, and implement initiatives that affect the Retail Sales organization.
  • Analyzes sales performance data, process metrics, trends, and stakeholder feedback to identify root causes and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Applies firsthand sales management experience to ensure optimization initiatives address practical business needs and support effective frontline execution.
  • Leads cross-functional sales optimization projects from problem identification and solution design through implementation, adoption, and measurement.
  • Establishes measures of success for optimization initiatives and evaluates results to determine effectiveness and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supports the rollout and adoption of new or revised sales processes, tools, workflows, and business practices by coordinating with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicates recommendations, project status, performance insights, and business impacts clearly to sales leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Promotes consistent execution of sales processes while ensuring optimization efforts remain aligned with applicable organizational, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in sales management, sales operations, sales optimization, process improvement, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a sales team with responsibility for sales performance, coaching, execution, and operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and improving sales processes, workflows, or operating practices.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to influence outcomes without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate sales data, operational information, and stakeholder feedback into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated project-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and move initiatives from identification through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, sales management practices, performance drivers, and frontline sales operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and support adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with frontline employees, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Ability to balance strategic objectives with practical implementation considerations in a fast-paced sales environment.

Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Communications, or related field.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
