As Social & Creator Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of Nationwide's paid social and creator marketing activity, ensuring these channels play a critical role in building the brand and supporting business objectives.
You'll be responsible for delivering best-in-class paid social and creator activity across platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels, ensuring investment, content and partnerships work together to maximise effectiveness and impact.
This role combines strategic thinking, creativity and executional excellence. Working across Group Customer & Communications and the wider business, you'll collaborate with integrated communications, advertising, media, organic social, PR and content teams to create connected marketing that reaches audiences where they spend their time and attention.
We're looking for someone who understands how social and creator marketing can unlock growth for modern brands. Someone who can identify opportunities, shape strategy and bring together creators, platforms, agencies and internal teams to deliver work that is distinctive, culturally relevant and commercially effective.
You'll have deep expertise across paid social, creator partnerships and influencer marketing, with a strong understanding of how social channels contribute to wider integrated campaigns. You'll know how to create work that is native to platforms whilst remaining true to the wider brand strategy and objectives.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.
If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
What you’ll be doing
You'll lead Nationwide's paid social and creator marketing activity, developing and delivering strategies that strengthen brand awareness, engagement and advocacy. Working closely with media and agency partners, you'll oversee paid social planning, activation and optimisation across key platforms, ensuring activity delivers maximum impact and return on investment.
You'll be responsible for shaping Nationwide's creator and influencer approach, identifying opportunities to build relevance and connect with audiences through authentic partnerships and collaborations. Working with internal teams and external agencies, you'll develop social-first and creator-led campaigns that capture attention, drive engagement and support wider brand and business objectives.
Using audience insights, platform expertise and performance data, you'll help inform investment decisions, creative development and future activity, ensuring campaigns are both effective and commercially focused. You'll also champion innovation, staying ahead of emerging social, creator and content trends and identifying new opportunities to keep Nationwide relevant in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
A key part of the role will be ensuring paid social and creator thinking is embedded within integrated marketing activity from the outset, helping deliver joined-up campaigns and consistent brand experiences across all channels.
