We are now looking for a Manager Tendering & Sales Support for Power Quality to join our team in Västerås. In this role you will lead our tendering and sales support department and be ultimately responsible for ensuring that the tenders our customers receive, meet their expectations on price, delivery time, scope and quality.

You will be leading and developing a team of 15 members and two team managers of Tender & Quotation Specialist(TQS). The TQSs in turn lead tender teams, to which resources are appointed from a line organization to efficiently deliver the industry’s most competitive tenders, thus offering clear value to our customers. Our market is global; hence we collaborate with colleagues from many countries and develop opportunities and tenders together. You will contribute to the unit’s strategic work and improving ways of working. You will be part of the management team and report to the Manager of Power Quality.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will be responsible for Power Quality tenders, in close partnership and collaboration with our Hitachi Energy local counterparts and customers and be responsible for delivering the budget of order intake on a yearly basis.
  • You will ensure tenders are managed consistently, based on best practices and company policies and risk and opportunity management practices.
  • You will build and maintain relationships with key customers as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • You will coordinate the development and initiate implementation of the standards, practices, procedures, tools and digitalization initiatives with our Tendering & Sales support team and other functions within Power Quality.
  • You will initiate and support the implementation of transformation initiative to achieve affordability, cater scale-up and meet our growth objectives.
  • You will support and drive the BU’s strategy globally within the Power Quality tendering and sales support community

Your background:

  • You are driven, result oriented and have a strong interest in leadership and developing your team, as well as developing relations and cooperation with other stakeholders.
  • You are a strong communicator with ability to communicate beyond your own organizational responsibilities
  • You enjoy leading, motivating, and developing people and have a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • To successfully take on this position, you have experience in the utility and/or industrial infrastructure project business, managing large and complex projects, both contractual, financial as well as technical.
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or business and have 10 to 15 years of experience in a project-based business. However, experience from a similar role and your personal qualities are considered more important than an academic degree.
