Transfer Pricing Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Transfer Pricing Manager to support and lead global transfer pricing documentation, controversy support, and planning initiatives within a multinational organization. This role will play a central part in operating and continuously improving a global TP documentation model, while serving as a key technical and people leader within the broader tax function.

The role requires a professional who is fluent in English, experienced working across regions and time zones, and comfortable mentoring staff while partnering closely with finance and business stakeholders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Global Transfer Pricing Documentation Leadership:

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination of global transfer pricing documentation with external advisers and internal finance professionals, including local files and master files across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee functional analyses, data collection, and benchmarking processes.
  • Ensure consistency of TP narratives, methodologies, and economic results across regions.
  • Actively improve and standardize documentation workflows, templates, and review processes.

2. Transfer Pricing Operations & Governance:

  • Own and manage day-to-day operational transfer pricing processes, including reviewing calculation of intercompany royalties, HQ fees, and other recurring intercompany charges.
  • Understand and document legacy transfer pricing methodologies and lead efforts to standardize calculations, improve transparency and repeatability, reduce manual work, and control risk.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

3. Controversy & Audit Support:

  • Support transfer pricing audits and inquiries across multiple regions.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and internal teams to ensure clear, consistent positions.
  • Assist with APA, MAP, and other controversy-related processes as needed.

4. Transfer Pricing Planning Support:

  • Support transfer pricing planning initiatives related to changes in business operations or supply chain; IP or DEMPE-related analyses; updates to intercompany pricing policies.
  • Review financial and valuation-based analyses in support of planning projects.
  • Partner with senior TP leadership to assess risk, implement changes, and operationalize outcomes

5. People Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Directly manage and mentor junior transfer pricing professionals
  • Review work product and provide technical and professional development feedback
  • Foster a culture of team stability, engagement, and high-quality delivery
  • Contribute to training materials and onboarding of new TP staff

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: 8-12 years of transfer pricing experience in both professional services and/or in-house environments, including managing a centralized TP documentation model, leading and developing teams, and coordinating with external advisors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with software systems such as HFM, Oracle and Onesource is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Reports To: Director, Transfer Pricing & Tax Planning

Working Conditions:


  • Hybrid role in Monterrey, with flexibility for remote work. Standard working hours with the possibility of extended hours during peak tax periods. Occasional international travel may be required.

Office First Hybrid Work Arrangements:


This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three day per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate and office first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will collaborate in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your teams and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connection and to best serve our customers
