Role Description The Managing Director role is a full-time remote position responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership of Greener Act. This role oversees business growth, sets long-term vision, and translates strategy into clear goals, plans, and performance metrics. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and developing cross-functional teams, managing key stakeholder and client relationships, and ensuring the platform and services effectively support organizations in achieving measurable sustainability impact. The Managing Director will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, as well as drive partnerships, sales, and marketing efforts aligned with the company’s mission and SDGs focus. The role also involves monitoring market trends in sustainability, refining the value proposition, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in senior management or executive roles, with responsibility for strategy, operations, and P&L.
• Background in sustainability, ESG, or impact-focused organizations, with strong understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, including building and managing strategic relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong skills in organizational planning, budgeting, and performance management, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead remote, cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and build an inclusive, high-performance culture.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, including executives and partners.
• Comfort with digital platforms and technology-driven products; experience in a SaaS, tech, or platform-based environment is an advantage.
• Relevant academic background in business, sustainability, management, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Passion for sustainability and impact-driven work, with a strong commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, and socially responsible leadership.
