Managing Security Architect

Role Overview

As Managing Security Architect, you will be responsible for embedding security best practices and secure by design principles into our wide ranging client engagements. Reporting to the Security Architecture Lead within Cyber Security, you will work on a range of security activities, collaborating closely with teams and architects across the organisation to ensure security is embedded into their solutions, rather than bolted on.

You will play a leading role in helping our clients understand their security challenges, and by taking a risk-based approach and applying recognised security architecture frameworks, you will design and assure security controls that address current and emerging cyber threats while supporting our clients' strategic and operational objectives

Key Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and secure design, embedding security and resilience across the full delivery lifecycle (secure-by-design/default),
• Define and assure security architecture and controls, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, DORA),
• Review and quality assure solutions and artefacts (internal and suppliers), focusing on security, compliance, and non-functional requirements,
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, ensuring alignment with FCA risk appetite and supporting secure service design outcomes,

• Drive adoption of cloud and platform security controls, ensuring secure integrations and robust risk mitigation.
• Support security operations and governance, including testing, resilience planning, incident response, audit readiness, and stakeholder engagement
