Role Description The Mandarin Interpreter is a full-time remote role responsible for providing high-quality interpretation services between Mandarin and English during virtual calls and meetings. Daily tasks include accurately conveying spoken information in both languages, ensuring cultural and contextual appropriateness, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. The interpreter will support clients across sectors such as medical, legal, and business, following established protocols and documenting call details where required. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and quality teams, participating in training sessions, and using LanguageBees’ call center tools and software to manage calls efficiently and meet performance metrics.
Qualifications

• Strong Mandarin and English language proficiency, including excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated interpreting experience in medical, legal, or business settings, with a solid grasp of industry terminology.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, neutrally, and professionally, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Comfort with remote work tools, call center software, and basic computer applications, with reliable internet connectivity.
• Detail-oriented work style, strong time management, and the ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining quality.
• Customer service mindset, including patience, empathy, and the ability to support diverse clients and callers.
• Relevant training or certification in interpretation or linguistics; prior experience in virtual call centers is a plus.
