Manual QA Engineer

sourceCode Australia is seeking a skilled Manual Tester with at least 4 years of experience in software testing, including web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong English skills (reading, writing, and speaking) and a solid understanding of testing methodologies. Experience with test automation is a plus. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products through manual testing while contributing to automation efforts where possible.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure test coverage.
• Work with automation testing tools and frameworks (if applicable).
• Ensure test documentation is up-to-date and follows industry best practices.
• Provide clear and detailed bug reports and test summaries.
• Continuously improve the testing process to enhance product quality.
• Ensure the application runs smoothly and is bug-free in every release.
• Be able to join meetings with the foreign team, host meetings or demo new functionalities for the team.
• Find root cause of bugs

Skill requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in manual testing for web and mobile applications (at least 4 mobile applications)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management.
• Experience working with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Good English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar (a plus).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work overtime if required
• Hard-working, responsible, strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability of working independent and teamwork; can work under high pressure;
