Market Data Reporting Analyst II

The Market Regulation team of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Market Data Reporting Analyst II. The Market Data Reporting Analyst II will oversee a thorough analysis of data files and correspond with state contacts to ensure data files are accurate, loaded on time and are of high quality to prevent errors or anomalies. This team member will will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders while working on projects of limited scope. This is a full-time remote position. Residency within a 100-mile radius of the Kansas City office is required.
Responsibilities Include
Gather and document state-specific information regarding states procedures for handling MIS data and corresponding biographic and demographic data.
Provide system support and analysis, monitor status, ensure readers are running, generate data and perform required modifications of data files.
Work with common arch developers to resolve coding issues, test data anomalies and ensure data quality.
Analyze errors and data inconsistencies using internally developed applications, raw data file analysis and SQL queries, and build both simple and complex SQL queries independently.
Complete assigned tasks as per instructions, follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations and data.
Collaborate and communicate as necessary with colleagues and immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the team/group, develop stable working relationships internally.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required
A Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years experience in a related position with progressive professional, individual contributor experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience
Statutory accounting and reporting experience
Systems & Technology Requirements
Microsoft Office Suite/365, Slack, SQL
Travel
This position requires regular, out-of-state, overnight travel in support of member meetings and events throughout the year. An ideal candidate must be able and willing to travel to locations throughout the United States and with such frequency as necessary to meet the needs of this position and the Association.
Compensation
$50,297- $57,200, commensurate with education and experience.
