What you'll do
We’re offering a 6–12 week internship for someone who wants to get hands-on with a real commercial research challenge in microbial biotechnology.
Your challenge? To answer one surprisingly difficult question:
How many companies actually sell microorganism-based products today? 100? 2,000?
Across agriculture, mining, bioremediation and beyond, microbial products are entering more markets, but there is no clear, validated picture of the companies operating across the space.
Your job will be to help us build one.
You’ll research and segment the market, validate company data, conduct selected interviews and work towards a defensible view of the global microorganism-based products landscape.
AI tools are welcome to help accelerate the research. But we’re looking for someone with the curiosity and judgement to question the output and check every data point before it counts.
You’ll work independently, with mentorship from Zymofix’s experienced business development team and entrepreneurs along the way.
Who are we looking for?
🎓 MBA student or recent graduate with background studies in (bio)chemical engineering
