Market Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Market Risk Analyst.

Please be informed that the role is hybrid - we expect 2 working days in a month from the office in Krakow.

Key responsibilities:

• Value at Risk (VaR) Calculation: Develop, implement, and maintain models to calculate VaR for various trading portfolios, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Risk Assessment: Analyze and assess the risk associated with trading activities, focusing on market risk and its impact on VaR.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor trading positions and market conditions, and prepare regular VaR reports for senior management.
• Cooperating with multiple stakeholders including Market Risk Managers, Traded Risk Analysts, IT Support, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
• Building efficient controls, reports and tools to help maintain and analyse Traded Risk data.

Skills requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in banking e.g. Risk, Product Control, Front Office, Middle Office,
• Understanding of the Risk function and Risk reporting, VaR and risk sensitivities analysis. Preferably for the Fixed Income asset class,
• Understanding of FRTB,
• Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills,
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must,
• Desirable coding skills in Python,
• Highly organized and ability to work in solo and as a team,
• Open personality and effective communication skills, ability and flexibility to work in an international team.
